In a few hours I am jumping on a plane to the Gold Coast. This is a part of Australia I have never before visited, and all I know about it is there are some bizarre tourist attractions and the meter maids wear gold bikinis. And even though it's the middle of Winter, I'm still expecting it to be warm and beachy!
