At last year's The Design Files Open House I spotted two small paintings that just charmed the hell out of me. It turns out they were by Melbourne artist, Elizabeth Barnett, who I have since come across again on instagram (which seems to be the place for most art related discoveries these days).
Barnett's paintings have a familiarity about them. Anything with plants instantly wins me over, but there's something very personal about them too. Like peeking into a place you might once have lived, or wished you lived in now.
